Hunt’s Chunky Vegetable Spaghetti Sauce

Accidentally got this when I had grabbed a few cans of spaghetti sauce at the store. However, I like the idea of trying something new. I have never seen this type of sauce in the store.

It has zucchini, green bell pepper, celery, onions and carrots. The carrots are what made me pause, and rethink trying it. If you think about they put tomatoes in salads and that usually has carrots, but this has more tomato than carrots. Everything else in it sounds tasty so I gave it a shot.
I made spaghetti like normal, using the Chunky Vegetable sauce. To be honest I did not like it. I think the carrots made it too sweet to use it a spaghetti sauce. To be fair I got another can and decided to make the recipe on the back. I figure it was made for this sauce, and maybe just maybe it will taste better. The recipe is called Veggie Lover Baked Ziti. It calls for squash, spinach, alfredo sauce, and cheese. However I added some meat, what meal doesn’t have meat.
It was easy enough to make, but it didn’t impress me. It was okay, and edible but just not for my taste buds. But I haven’t given up on this sauce, I will try again. Maybe not real soon but I will. It is nice to have something different, and this is different.

Wild Berry Zinger Herbal Tea

Made by Celestial Seasonings and contains hibiscus, rose hips, chicory, oragne peel, blackberry leaves, natural flavors of black and red raspberries, strawberries, cranberries and cherries (caffeine free).



If those ingredients make your mouth water, you are not alone. I bought this tea to add some variety, since I usually drink the Lipton green teas. I wanted something that didn’t have any green tea in it, which this one does not.

I love this tea’s flavor, the cranberries and hibiscus are the dominant flavors. You would think that you’d taste the orange peel more than you do, at least I would, because I know that when cooking with orange peels, a little goes a long way.
It is almost like fruit punch, just better for you.

Philips Sonicare: UV Toothbrush Head Sanitizer

Since I am A Bzz Agent (sign up is free), from time to time I get sent new products to sample. This is the coolest so far. Not very many people realize how nasty their tooth brushes are.



This product uses UV rays to sanitize toothbrush heads. It is quick and easy only taking 10 minutes to complete the cleaning cycle, after you’ve cleaned it you can store the brush head in the machine until you want to use it next.
I like the viewing window, aside from it’s functionally (no light, no work) it is cool to have a visual on the inside. I am all for watching things work. Of course, you should NEVER look at UV bulb directly, it could hurt your eyes.



The only real drawback for this is your toothbrush head has to be an Oral-B brand (Sonicare e-series, Sonicare ProResults, Oral-B FlexiSoft, Oral-B FlossAction), and you cannot fit regular toothbrushes in it ( not without cutting the handle off). If it was just a little taller you could ‘make’ it fit.
Note to Philips: It should come with coupons for the tooth brushes that fit in it. I have to go buy a new one to try it. To be honest I like my old toothbrush (an Oral-B CrossAction) better than the one I had to buy.

Chocolate Macadamia Nut Gourmet Coffee

It is made by Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Co., and is 10% kona coffee. The kona beans are freshly roasted and packed in Hawaii and grown on the Big Island’s Kona Coast, which gives the coffee it’s great taste.

Anyone that likes coffee must try this. Just opening the bag is a delight, because the smell of this coffee is so good. So good, you will be tempted to stick a spoon full in your mouth.
Keep in mind that kona coffee is stronger than regular coffee, so it may take a few pots for you to find the right strength for your taste. I use 2 1/2 -3 TBS of grounds for 12 cups of coffee ( full pot). When drinking, do not expect to taste chocolate as if you were eating a bar of it, and the same for the macadamia nuts. I am not saying you won’t taste them at all, they are all just mashed together. I don’t want you to expect something that’s not going to be there. I made that mistake, but after I got over the disappointment of it not tasting like a chocolate bar, I really liked the coffee.
The smell of this coffee brewing is something you want to wake up to.
Any coffee lover would be tickled to receive a bag of this.

Axe Vice Body Wash

I love the commercials for the brand (AXE), where all the girls attack the men that use it. And, yes I know this is for men. My boyfriend used this, and liked it. I liked it too, the scent lasts a long time. He could shower in the morning and still smell like this body wash at the end of the day. Which is tough, since he works not sitting at a desk but real labor, he is a maintenance man.
I tried it once just to see how it lathers and stuff, and it passed muster. I think any man would like this body wash. Since they can use it and not feel girly.
It smells very much like Adidas cologne, which I like.
