“Simply White” Toothpaste from Colgate ( Spearmint Flavor)

“Whitening Toothpaste”
“Helps prevent cavities and with tartar control.”
First, Colgate should have made it clear on the packaging that there are two chambers of toothpaste (that mix together as you push it out). this type of tube is not the right kind for toothpaste like this. Heck, the kind that pumps it out does not really work either. If it was on the box, then my bad, however, I honestly cannot remember seeing it when I was taking it out (it came it a box as if that justifies the price, 3.99. Way to much for toothpaste).
The taste of it was nice. It taste just like it smells. The closes thing I can think to compare its flavor to is spearmint gum.
The blue stuff was not that great, in the foaming department. I was happy that it ran out before the white stuff. The white toothpaste was good . It foams up nicely without the blue half of this toothpaste.
As for its whitening affect I could not really see any difference. Maybe if I had used more then one tube, however I was not that impressed with it that I would go buy another tube.
I like that the tube it shaped so the dispenser is on the bottom. However the cap/dispenser sucks, I do not like that I cannot take the thing off. and its shape make squeezing out the last of it hard.
I do not plan on buying Simply White Toothpaste again!

Ozark Trail Men’s Bandy II High-Top Hiking Boots

boots

Features (yes, these boots have features):
Agion “nature’s antimicrobial”: Stops odor- Prevents Bacterial & Fungal growth- Continuous Release of Antimcrobial-Environmentally Friendly Technology
HydroGuard Waterproof: 100% waterproof membrane bootie-Seam sealed for maximum protection- High abrasion lining for maximum wear and comfort

Obviously, these Ozark Trail boots are not for me, since they for a man, lol. But I was the one that bought them. I like the way they look and feel. All of the features (listed above) were reasons I bought them too. Because the person that would be wearing them has a job that occasionally gets he feet (shoes) wet and he is on his feet a lot.
I did some “internet research” before buying these boots, I admit I did no price comparing because they were only 29.99. I mainly read reviews from people that bought them. I did not find any bad reviews so I was not reluctant to buy.
After bugging the hell out of the receiver of the boots (making him walk around in them, asking him after a full day of wearing them at work if he likes them, etc..), I believe I made a good buy.
To quote one of the reviews I read “they are just as comfortable as the $125 Boots I have bought”.
It has been about a month that they have been in use, and the insides still smell nice (really no smell, do be expecting a potpourri scent, lol). I say the boots make him taller, or at least look taller. And, it is not like the soles are thick (in case you men were worried it would like you were wearing man heels). The height of the ‘tops” of the boots (how far they go up the ankle) is something that the receiver really enjoys. They are high enough the support the ankle but not rub when you are squatting.
The boots are easily cleaned, just wipe with a wet rag.
I would recommend these Ozark Trail Hiker Boots to any man that needs boots (especially if you do not want to spend a lot of money). If they can hold up to everyday wear as they do, you know they will work for occasional wearing (like just for hiking, etc.).

Upgrading to Norton 360 Version 2.0

Key Features:
• Antivirus, Antispyware, Email scanning, Antiphishing, Rootkit detection, Identity protection
• Web site authentication, Network monitoring, Firewall protection, Automatic backup and restore
• 2 GB of secure online storage*, PC performance tuneups, Automatic updates, Embedded support
• Optional Antispam and Parental controls
My Norton’s Internet Security subscription was up last month and instead of just renewing, I decided to upgrade to the Norton’s 360.
The first thing I want to say about this product is Norton’s falsely advertised this product (has nothing to do with the program), on the website is shows (get screen shot of website) the CD with a box and stuff. However when I got mine it was just a cd. No manual or anything. And DHL did not deliver it to my door but my mail box (which gets ripped off a lot), I did not want it to go to that address but my Po Box but Norton’s would not send to a Po Box because it was being sent through DHL. I though it was going to be delivered to my door. That kind of pissed me off (I’ll get over it, I would be more mad if it got stolen).
Installing it was easy enough. However since I did not have a Manuel I had to figure it out on my own. Good thing I knew enough to uninstall the old version. I also learned that I had to uninstall my Window’s Defender (Just re-install it after you install the Norton’s).
Other then that it pretty much dose everything on its own. you just click “next” and “finished”.
Adjusting the settings is easy to do and understand.
I really like the “back-up” feature, I had never backed any of my stuff up before this (this can be skipped). Do not count on the “virtual” back-up from Norton’s, the 2.0 MB (make sure that is right) is not enough space to store “Bleep”. I do not have a lot of stuff on my computer (photos, files, etc..) and I was over the limit. Of course, you can buy more storage space (I did not even look at the prices for more space). Just get yourself some DVD CD’s that you can burn.

I have only had for a short time but so far so good, I do not regret getting it or anything like that. I will let you all know if something comes up.

Get Music from eMusic.com

Works with ipod, zune, and any MP3 player. no confusing restrictions or Drm..
Until I got my new computer a little over a year ago I had never downloaded any music. being bored with my own collect of music it seemed stupid not to take advantage of the downloadable music. I found emusic through my Windows Media Player. When I did this they had a free trial offer (25 free songs). I had to give my credit/debt card number, which is typical.
The site is easy to navigate and search for music. Downloading was easy and problem free (to my Windows Media Player). Their prices are decent (considering what is written next).
However I feel mislead, I thought there was songs like rehab, etc.. you new songs from but nope. Only independent artist and no-so famous singers. you can find karaoke versions of those songs but that is not was I wanted. The selection was so lame that I did not even get my 25 free songs. there just was not any songs other then the two I got that I wanted. And , they were karaoke versions of the songs I was after when I started my mission for music.

Yummy Vanilla Flavored Coffee

Again, this Vanilla Macadamia Nut coffee is from Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Co., these people should just hire me as their official reviewer, lol.

coffee

After that Irish Cream coffee, the Hawaiian Isles Co. really had to redeem itself to me, and it did. I loved this Vanilla Macadamia Nut coffee. Of course, I must confess I love Vanilla, however even though I love the stuff not all-vanilla flavored stuff it created equal.

The dry grounds do not really smell like vanilla alone, to be honest is smelled kind of like the Irish Cream flavor did, but that could of been some kind of subconscious flashback to the last bag because it taste like vanilla. In addition, when it is percolating it smells as it should so I know it is my problem, lol.
(even now I can smell the empty bag and all I can think of is that Irish Cream coffee, lol)

With only 10% Kona coffee and the rest Arabica beans, it is a semi-strong coffee. However, like the other flavors of coffee from this company the coffee’s strength depends on the coffee grounds to water ratio you use.

All I can say is if you like Vanilla the slightest bit you will enjoy this Vanilla Macadamia Nut Coffee.

Apple’s New 3G iPhone

Being released July 11(2008), the newest iPhone (3G) has been the talk of techies everywhere. You cannot watch Tv without hearing about it. It seems like just yesterday Apple,Inc. was releasing the original iPhone, however it has been a year this month (June).
With a starting price of $199 (with two year contract) this 3G iPhone is MUCH cheaper then the all ready released versions ($499 minimum price for the original iPhone) .
service plans (only through its exclusive US distributor, AT&T Inc) for the new iPhone will start as low as $39.95 a month for voice calling, the $59.95 plan (cost of “minimum” plan for original iPhone) provides 450 minutes of talk time, however it is not clear minutes you get with the $39.95 plan.
The 3G iPhone will be sold in more than 2,200 AT&T retail stores and kiosks, as well as through the direct business sales channels.New features include: faster operation, GPS (personal navigation device), easy search for names in the phone’s address book, and improved support for languages (like Japanese and Chinese).
These features may be new to the iPhone but they are available in many other phones already and many were upset with Apple for leaving them out of the original iPhone last year.
Freebie: The 2.0 software will run on existing iPhones and will be available for free download in early July.

Fix a Seam (or whatever) without a Needle Using Liquid Stitch

Made by Prym Consumer USA Inc. www.dritz.com
Available at most chain stores (like Wal-Mart), Liquid Stitch has the lure of being able to “stitch” something without needle and thread (hems, trims, crafts,etc.). I know how to sew and have a sewing machine, but getting the machine out and setting it up is a chore. Some people have a hard time threading a needle ( I don’t, yet). Regardless, this product comes in handy.

liquid stitch

It is machine washable & dryer safe (non-toxic and non-flammable). Dry cleaning not recommended.
Using Liquid Stitch is easy, just like any other glue. However, It doesn’t spread very well with your finger (or an object) from the initial area you apply it too. It does ooze when you fold material over and press together (as if you were doing a hem). Kids could master this product and be able use without major supervision (after you teach them how to use it!)
The tube says to do a “test spot” before using. This is important, on some materials you can see where is, either from discoloring (or dark spot) or it may not work. When that happens you end up with a mess. That is unless you realize that it is not going to work in time to wash it off. I found out that this does not work on lace or lace-like material (curtains) at all.
The 1 1/4 Fl. oz tube is a good size. You can get many projects done with one tube (of course that depends on the projects). Knowing how much to use for what types of fabric is something you learn as you go. A rule of thumb would be, for thin materials apply lightly and go heavier for heavier materials.
The caps have a tendency to crack when you tighten them to tight (usually when the tube has been open for a while). The nozzle can become clogged as well, to fix that just use a pin to clear the nozzle.
As for it being “Permanent”, it may stay on the fabric permanently but it does not hold permanently.
It lasts for a while (six months or so, depending on how often you wear and wash). Though when it does bust, you can just reapply and deal with it in another six months.
I would recommend having a tube of Liquid Stitch in the house ( I have carried it in my purse and every time I have used it), if not Liquid Stitch some other needles-sewing product.

Move over Super-Glue, Gorilla Glue is Taking Your Place!

“For the toughest jobs on planet earth™” (their slogan)
Now! Stronger-Faster
Bonds: Wood, Stone, Metal, Ceramics, Foam

To use, you wet the things/area you are going to glue with a paintbrush (make sure you do not want to use it for painting ever again, lol). The water helps activates the glue so do not skip that step if you were thinking about it. I forgot once and it did not foam up as it should of.
When I first used this Gorilla Glue I did not know it was going to foam up like it does. They should put that is bold letters on the label.
Do not try and wipe the glue with your bare finger, either wear gloves or have a stick, throw away towel, etc. This stuff will stay on your skin for a long time. It does not hurt or anything, it is just annoying. Also, notice the “throw away” part. This stuff does not come off cloth (that means your clothes too so be careful)
I took the time to peel back the back label and learned that if you squeeze out the excess air from the bottle before you close it, it will last longer (this means squeezing the bottle of glue until the glue almost comes out then putting one the cap while holding). Since air is bad for the glue’s longevity in the bottle.
Gorilla Glue has been fun to use. It is kind of like duct tape to me now, every time something needs to be glued I am going for the gorilla glue. Of course, I have found things that it is not suitable for (it works but not suitable), like leather/material.
I just bought a roll of the Gorilla Tape, so look for its review soon!
Check out their website to see all the other products they have and for projects plans/tips!

From GorillaGlue.com:
“Check out all the benefits of the new improved Gorilla Glue family:
• VERSATILE – ideal for most household fixes, building repairs and creative projects.
• 100% WATERPROOF – does not break down when exposed to outdoor elements. Easily passes ANSI/HPVA HP-1-2000 Types 1 and 2.
• TEMPERATURE RESISTANT – once it’s dry Gorilla Glue is unaffected by extreme heat or cold.
• SANDABLE, PAINTABLE, STAINABLE – the invisible glue line makes finishing easy.”
