Ozark Trail Men’s Bandy II High-Top Hiking Boots

boots

Features (yes, these boots have features):
Agion “nature’s antimicrobial”: Stops odor- Prevents Bacterial & Fungal growth- Continuous Release of Antimcrobial-Environmentally Friendly Technology
HydroGuard Waterproof: 100% waterproof membrane bootie-Seam sealed for maximum protection- High abrasion lining for maximum wear and comfort

Obviously, these Ozark Trail boots are not for me, since they for a man, lol. But I was the one that bought them. I like the way they look and feel. All of the features (listed above) were reasons I bought them too. Because the person that would be wearing them has a job that occasionally gets he feet (shoes) wet and he is on his feet a lot.
I did some “internet research” before buying these boots, I admit I did no price comparing because they were only 29.99. I mainly read reviews from people that bought them. I did not find any bad reviews so I was not reluctant to buy.
After bugging the hell out of the receiver of the boots (making him walk around in them, asking him after a full day of wearing them at work if he likes them, etc..), I believe I made a good buy.
To quote one of the reviews I read “they are just as comfortable as the $125 Boots I have bought”.
It has been about a month that they have been in use, and the insides still smell nice (really no smell, do be expecting a potpourri scent, lol). I say the boots make him taller, or at least look taller. And, it is not like the soles are thick (in case you men were worried it would like you were wearing man heels). The height of the ‘tops” of the boots (how far they go up the ankle) is something that the receiver really enjoys. They are high enough the support the ankle but not rub when you are squatting.
The boots are easily cleaned, just wipe with a wet rag.
I would recommend these Ozark Trail Hiker Boots to any man that needs boots (especially if you do not want to spend a lot of money). If they can hold up to everyday wear as they do, you know they will work for occasional wearing (like just for hiking, etc.).

I am suprised no one has complained, I have bought 3 pair of these boots and all three have failed at the seams on the second lace from the front, both sides and both feet. I really like the styling and color, soles and comfort. Each time I was hoping that they fixed this problem or it was just a fluke. Sure $30 bucks isn't much, but it does add up...so if you don't mind replacing every 3 months, or just wear them till you get tired of the seam problem, buy them.

Ozark trail bandy 2 I work outside sometimes for 4 to 8 hours in the rain. These shoes are fairly stiff and solid, yet what I am finding out about all the so called waterproof items sold at Walmart they are not waterproof. I have owned these shoes for several years I have never really worn them in major downpours. Once I started they did not hold the water out. I believe it held the water out for about 1 to 3 hours then my feet were soaked. In light rain conditions these shoes will work fine. They have good insulation and provide good protection against bumps/impact. You will have to change the insert for better comfort I would suggest Dr. Scholls work memory foam. My feet are 11.5 wide and I had to purchase a size 13. I will not purchase another pair.

I've owned the same pair of Bandy II boots for the past 3yrs. I wear them a few times a month and a couple times a year on the trail.

The first thing I did was WATERPROOF them. I used a seam sealer and then a silicone spray for the leather.

I've also used a leather lotion to soften and also add as a water barrier. Water rolls off oil, so adding an oil to leather is great.

I haven't had the seams split like I've been reading. Maybe because I don't wear them daily. I'm not sure. But I'm happy with my purchase.
