Check out the New Dodge Ram 1500

Dodge has completely redesigned the Ram. Premiering the week of November 3, 2008 at Dodge dealerships across the country —Test Drive one today!

If you watch Tv at all, you have probably seen the commercials for Dodge's "never back down" challenge. It is their version of a reality show. You can use the link above to view the TV ads and online Webisodes.l

A lot of people in my family own Dodge vehicles, I even have a old Dodge RamCharger in my driveway. So I consider my family a Dodge Family, that is why I joined the Bzz Campaign for the Dodge Ram 1500. And it was excuse to go test drive one, lol!

One of my favorite new features f the Dodge Ram 1500 is the ParkView® rear back-up camera. Every truck/SUV made today should have one of these.

Dodge could of made it more fuel efficient. With a average of 20MPG on the highway and 14MPG in the city I cannot see may people buying them, especially with a gallon of gas costing an average of $3. If you are going to buy a vehicle that gets that bad of gas millage you might as well get a older cheaper one. If it got at least 35 in the city (like vehicles in other countries) I would buy one today.

The redesigned inside is luxurious, it would almost be ashame to put dirty men in it, lol.

It has feature that appeal to both men and women, like dual glove boxes and storage under the rear seats. Who doesn't like storage space.

If you are looking for a new truck, find a Dodge Dealership near you and test drive one today!

Do you Shop Online? If so, You Need a Paypal Account

I have had my Paypal account since 2002, to date I have not had any problems with them. In fact it has helped me. Not only am I keeping my bank, debt/credit card information safe when shopping online I am building credit. This is because Paypal is affiliated with GE MoneyBank.
So treat your Paypal account as if you would any other bank account. Do not overdraw, keep some money in the account and/or have activity (send/receive money).

Paypal offers debt cards for your account. It works just like a bank debt card. Wait until you have had your Paypal account for a few months before you request a debt card (unless you have good credit).

Paypal also offers Paypal Buyers Credit. It is not like a traditional credit card. You do not get a plastic card but a paper card because it is for only purchases online. And, you can only use it when Paypal is accepted by the merchant.

If you have used your Paypal account to pay for anything lately you have seen the "Paypal Buyer's Credit" option at checkout. When you use Buyer's Credit the amount of the purchase it deposited into your Paypal account then taken by the merchant (you can see all this in your account activity section).

Opening an account is free. PayPal makes its money by charging fees to merchants and individuals on larger amounts of money being transferred (fees start at transfers over $20).
For personal use the fees are not bad. You do not feel ripped off when you see how much a fee was on you transaction. I have never been charged more then $5.00

*no charge to transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account.
  • If you have a Personal account, you have the option to accept credit card payments, and you'll pay a small fee if you choose to accept a credit card payment.
  • If you have a Premier or Business account, you'll pay a small fee to receive payments.

If you sell products (or services) online, I recommend signing up so you can accept Paypal. You are probably losing potential customers by not having Paypal as a payment option. Just knowing a merchant accepts Paypal makes buyers feel better (safer). I have "not bought" from an online store just because they did not take Paypal (even though I was not going to use my Paypal account to pay).

Of course, all that goes out the window if you are a shady merchant and plan on scamming people, then you would be better off only accepting checks/moneyorders/cash. LOL

About Us (from paypal.com)

PayPal is the safer, easier way to pay and get paid online. The service allows anyone to pay in any way they prefer, including through credit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit or account balances, without sharing financial information.

PayPal has quickly become a global leader in online payment solutions with more than 164 million accounts worldwide. Available in 190 markets and 17 currencies around the world, PayPal enables global ecommerce by making payments possible across different locations, currencies, and languages.

PayPal has received more than 20 awards for excellence from the internet industry and the business community -most recently the 2006 Webby Award for Best Financial Services Site and the 2006 Webby People's Voice Award for Best Financial Services Site.

Located in San Jose, California, PayPal was founded in 1998 and was acquired by eBay in 2002.

Why Work When You Can Find a SugarDaddie!

This is so funny. At SugarDaddie.Com men and women in he higher tax brackets can post dating profiles. The whole point of this website is to hook up rich people with those that want to date people with money.

I first heard about this site a long time ago, but I did not think much of it at the time. I just could believe that a site like that would last ( I should know better, anything can survive online).

At least the man/women will know what you are after when you have a profile on this site. What is the world coming to when people pay to be hooked up with gold-diggers. The site seems to be doing good, it has been mentioned on many TV shows and customers have nothing but good things to say.

If I was on-the-market I might consider posting a profile there but I doubt I would take it seriously. No matter how many testimonies I read, I seriously doubt that people find true love through SuagrDaddies.com.

I am not a Dr. Phil fan, but according to SugarDaddies Media page they have been featured on his show and are contributers. I do not know if that hurts or helps them, lol.

Do you have a profile on SuagrDaddies.com? Leave a link to your profile and tell me what you think of the website.

Join MyPoints, You Won't Regret It!

I had signed up for MyPoints a long time ago, but it was just recently that I started using it. BzzAgents now get their rewards through MyPoints and since I am a Bzz Agent my reward points were transferred there.

So far I have used my points to get $75 is free gas.

If you plan on opening an account, here are some tips:

*Use a email address you do not mind "junk mail" coming to. Deciding on what email address to use is hard, because you want an address that you will be using to shop. If the email address on you purchase receipt is not the one use on your MyPoints account you may not get the point you earned credited to you. You can get the points without matching email addresses but it requires more effort by you, and I am all about easy!

*Everyday you will get emails from MyPoints that can earn you points. I recommend opening the emails asap and clicking the "get points" button. Allow the new page to fully load so you get your points.

Idea For Price Comparing Website

The ultimate price comparing website would have up-to-date prices for items in the stores (not just online). Retailers could submit their weekly flyer's and special sales. That way you can really get the best price. I have read that when shopping online you could pay more shopping online then if you went into the store. My idea would prevent that!

Maybe I should try to make that website! Give me some name suggestions!

Compare Prices with Shoppzilla.com

Shopzilla is a price comparison site that I visit a lot. You get results from many stores online. This is where I found the store that sold the bags for my vacuum at a really good price. And, that store was not a "big time" retailer.

There are pros and cons to getting results from smaller retailers. The Pro in my case was that I got a better price. But dealing with unknowns is risky (that is why I paid with PayPal).

It doesn't hurt to look at Shoppzilla's results when shopping online, the only thing you have to lose is less money, lol!

From Shopzilla.com:
" Founded in 1996, Shopzilla is a leading comparison shopping service. The company's mission is to enable shoppers to quickly and easily find compare and buy anything, sold by virtually anyone, anywhere. Each month, Shopzilla connects millions of consumers with thousands of stores. In June 2006, Shopzilla attracted over 18.9 million unique visitors according to ComScore. Shopzilla also operates the BizRate consumer feedback network that collects millions of consumer reviews of stores and products each year.

In 2005, Shopzilla was acquired by The E. W. Scripps Company (NYSE: SSP) and is now part of its interactive media division. Shopzilla operates websites serving consumers and retailers in the U.S., U.K., French and German markets."

This is a Bit Much!

I am all for treating animals good, but making ice cream with human breast milk is going to far.

What do you think? would you eat a product with human breast milk in it. I know we all drank it as babies but the idea is creepy to me.

Researching a Purchase at Consumersearch.Com

When I am going to make a big purchase, like a TV or computer, I like to do some research. With many review websites (like SuckyStuff) it can take some time.

One of the biggest problems with trusting a review on a personal blog is you never know when a "review" has been sponsored. Usually they disclose that it is but not always. That is why many people turn to websites like ConsumerSearch.com (owned by About.com). ConsumerSearch.com has paid researchers that write their "reports". However, their reports are flawed. I say this because the recommendations are made on other peoples reviews. The writers writing the reports usually has no personal experience with the product. And, that personal experience aspect of a review is needed. Like recently, I wanted to buy a weedeater and the "report" on ConsumerSearch.com did not really help. The reports do not focus on just one product but the top brands for a category. Some of the weedeaters I was looking at were not in the report I read. Heck, the one I ended up buying had a bad review on ConsumerSearch.com but I am happy with it (review of that weedeater coming soon!).

Also, there is sometimes more then one report per category. which can be confusing.

It is a good place to at least check but do not take everything said as truth.

Did you buy something that had a "bad review" on ConsumerSearch.com that ended up being great? let us know!

many different websites at the same time. The inventory we draw from includes
vehicles listed on major auto websites, online classified ads, online
auctions, local newspaper classified ads, AutoFerret.com Private Party

In addition to providing the Live Meta-Search, AutoFerret.com also allows
buyers to submit requests for vehicles that meet their specifications.

Get Selling Assistants on eBay.

There are a few places out there where you can get help selling your stuff on eBay. The one I am posting about is the "trading assistants" that register with eBay.

From eBay.com: "What are Trading Assistants?
Trading Assistants are experienced eBay sellers who have indicated they are willing to take your items on consignment and sell them for you on eBay for a fee. If you want to sell your stuff on eBay, but don't have the time, a Trading Assistant can help. Each Trading Assistant has a feedback score of at least 100, has experience selling items on eBay, and has at least 98% positive feedback from buyers and sellers on previous transactions."

http://pages.ebay.com/tahub/index.html, If you go to this URL you will find all the details!
(Read through the FAQ)

From the URl above you can search for a "trading assistant" in your area (or closest to you). The requirements that eBay has for the TA's makes me feel better about using one.

Another way to have a TA help you sell is by choosing a TA that has a "Drop off Location". These eBay Drop off Locations are popping up everywhere.

The only downside to using a TA is that they charge a fee (TA fees vary, you and the TA agree upon the amount before a transaction begins). Make sure you know whether the TA's fee's cover any fee's from eBay/PayPal.

*Businesses can use TA to sell unwanted inventory

Disclaimer from eBay.com: About the program:

"Trading Assistants are not employees or independent contractors of eBay, nor do we endorse or approve them. Each Trading Assistant runs his or her own independent business, free from any involvement by eBay. You should apply the same standards in selecting a Trading Assistant as you would in hiring anyone to perform a service for you. Use good judgment and common sense in making your choice."

Have you used a TA? Did everything sell and were you happy that you used a TA? Answer this in a comment!

NEW! Trident Xtra Care Gum

*Strengthens Your Teeth

*Peppermint Flavored

*14 pieces

I got suckered into buying this gum because of the "teeth strengthening" aspect of it. Who does not want stronger teeth? I say suckered in the nicest way, lol. It is just another case of me seeing a commercial and buying the product. I am not sure if it does strengthen your teeth since I only chewed one pack and that did not seem like it was worth a trip to the dentist, lol. To be accurate I would have to go before and after chewing this gum.

The flavoring is good; I am not a big peppermint fan but Xtra Care gum peppermint I like. The strength of the flavor is not to strong, but most importantly, it lasts.

I hate the "pieces". They are too small. To get a decent size wad of gum, you need at least two pieces for that. The small pieces are dangerous; I say they make me bite my cheek more often.

Air Purifiers by EcoQuest Intl.

Check out air purifiers by EcoQuest Intl. On their website (tryfreshair.com) they have a "what's in your air" section, as if I really want to know what is in the air I am breathing. It is probably more then I want to know. They even have links to all the media mentions about air pollutions and the dangers of it (be warned, the articles are in PDF format).

I like that EcoQuest gives you a risk-free evaluation of their air purifiers. I have thought about getting some kind of air purifier but it seems useless at my home since I have so many houseplants that do that for me. Other air purifiers I have looked at were just too much money, If these companies really wanted to sell more of their products they would bring down the prices.

I like that EcoQuset air purifiers has a germ-killing feature. That is important, most people do not realize that germs is what makes things stink.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you have an air-purifier? what kind? and do you like it?

Get Local TV Listings Free

I get real aggravated trying to find what is going to be on TV from the TV Listings that come in the newspaper. It is eye straining to find the stations that you have locally (Since most TV Listings cover more then one town they have all stations together, but your area may not get all the stations listed). And, when it comes to sports they do not have what teams will be playing.

I found a great website that has TV Listings, TitanTV.com. You just enter your zip code and select what kind of broadcast you want (HD or Analog) or by what carrier you have (Comcast/DirectTv/etc.)

You do not have to open an account but you can if you want to save your information (info like: your zip code, favorite shows, etc.). Accounts are free, but it does not make a difference, time wise, when you are looking through the listings. I think having to sign into an account would make it take longer. If your computer saves "cookies", you will return to your zip codes listings when ever you return to TitanTV.

About TitanTV.com: (From TitanTV.Com)

"founded in 1993. It is the foremost online software and information provider to the broadcast industry, delivering the most accurate, complete, real-time information anywhere regarding signal coverage, reception, programming and viewer information. Broadcasters can update the TitanTV guide on their web site as well as the TitanTV.com EPG, and the PSIP generator by using MediaStar, available via ProximityTV.com. MediaStar allows real-time programming changes and scheduling from any virtual office location via the Internet. MediaStar is a complete program scheduling solution with a variety of reporting options, including the ability to create a PSIP file to send to a broadcaster’s PSIP generator. This data is fully compliant with the standards set forth by the FCC.

Leveraging its local broadcaster partnerships, TitanTV combines TitanCast and MediaStar products to create a unique platform for local broadcasters to generate revenue online and elevate their online branding. Get your Snack on with Frito-lays Munchies

I am a sucker for product placement; this purchase proves it, lol. While paying for gas (waiting in line) I seen the bags of Munchies on the rack conveniently placed next to the line. I scanned the different flavors (Cheese Fix, Flamin' Hot, and Totally Ranch) and I was feeling cheesy so I got the "Cheese Fix Munchies".

It has Crunchy Cheetos, Nacho Cheese Doritos, Rold Gold Pretzels, and Harvest Cheard Sun Chips. The 3 1/2 oz ($1.29) bag is a good size for up to two people. One person can snack on the bag all day. it is easy to eat about half the bag without thinking about it but you will regret it. It is just too much cheese flavoring. If there were more pretzels or regular Sun Chips to even it out it would be better. I hate that it leaves your fingers orange (of course, all of the snacks in this mix (except the pretzels) do that; it is just the price you pay for eating them, lol.

However, it puts these "munchies" in the category of "do not give to kids if you want them to stay clean, lol".

Aside from the need to mellow out the cheesy richness (this mix needs more pretzels. They were skimpy on them, also on the Cheetos.) There was mostly Sun Chips and Doritos.

I did like that the Sun Chips and Doritos were in mini form. They should sell big bags of the small triangle Doritos. There is almost nothing worst then trying to get a big (and/or awkward shaped) Doritos into your mouth, you get that orange stuff on your lips (face) or poke your gums biting down. The smaller ones are easier to manage.

Maybe I will send these thoughts about Munchies to Frito-Lay to see if they send coupons!

Read another review of this snack! Click Here!

Teekanne (Brand) Pompadour tea

This is another tea that my mother-in-law gave me to try. Since the last one she recommended was good, I had high hopes for this one but it is not good.

I have no idea what is in the tea since everything on the wrapper is in German. The only English words are "mixed fruits and herbs". The picture on the wrapper looks like ar pomegranate (hence the "pom" in the name), an orange, some grape looking fruit and mint. I do not think the picture on the wrapper reflects the flavor of the tea bag inside, at least it did not taste like any of those things, lol. To me it tasted like (warm) cardboard.

I gave it a second chance to win me over just in case that was a bad batch. But I had the same opinion about the second cup I had.

Despite how much I hated it I went on a "internet search mission" to find a place to buy it, (for my mother-in-law since it was given to her). If you do a search with the word "Teekanne" you will not get a direct link to their website in the "results", however if you type it (www.teekanne.com) into your navigation bar it will take you to it. As stupid as it sounds I did not try that until after I read a few threads about this tea on a few forums and blogs. I was very surprised to see that so many people liked this tea (not this specific flavor). Once I got to Teekanne's website, I found out that it is owned by Snapple which makes me even more disappointed in this tea because I love Snapple’s drinks.

(At least I got a post out of it, lol)

Get a Nose Job!

I think every girl has thought about get rhinoplasty (nose job) at least once in their lives. I know I have starred in the mirror and thought to myself, "I would look so much better if....". However, the lack of funds and fear of needles has stopped me every time, lol.

I know we are supposed to "love ourselves and what god gave us", but if something like the shape of your nose causes you to feel you are ugly. Why not do something about it. As long as you do not get addicted and make yourself look like Barbie, who cares. I will tell you who: people that have something they do not like about themselves but no money to fix it, lol.

It is fun to look at before and after pictures. On a website for a doctor that performs rhinoplasty San Diego (Dr. John Hilinski) you can view before and after photos of "featured patients". If nothing else looking at these photos may make you look differently at your own nose (compared to some of the before pictures, your nose may not be that bad, lol).

Do you want rhinoplasty? read Dr. Hilinski's Q & A to find out more information about the procedure before you decide (click on "Rhinoplasty", listed in the sidebar)

Commentary by Daniel

While Surfing the web I found Dan Neumeister's blog. It only has the one post right now but it is an interesting read. He writes about "long waits in your Emergency room's". This subject interests me because I have spent many hours waiting in an ER. Yeah, I was not on the verge of death however the waiting time was way too long.

Dan defends the Hospitals in his post, which is no surprise when you read that he has worked in the health care field for 27 years. I bet he has heard a lot of complaints in his 27 years.

I can understand why he wrote this, most people think that hospitals/doctors do not care about the patients, only money. While is may be true in some cases, it is not true all the time.

The size of the Hospital (or town, if only one Hospital) makes a difference on your wait time. I have found that smaller hospitals have longer wait times for non-life threatening injuries.

Next time you find yourself waiting in an ER, remind yourself to be patient (unless you are on the verge on Death, then get the help you need). If you are not bleeding or in imminent danger of dying they will get to you when they can.

Buying Mineral Makeup!

(From ArticleBuzz.com)

A Guide For Newbies Looking To Buy Mineral Makeup by Jean Morgan

Mineral makeup has been gaining so much popularity for the past three decades and with this, more and more women are starting to see the benefits that mineral makeup can offer for their skin. However, buying mineral makeup is not just about choosing the right shade or finding the right color of eye shadow that will fit your mood.

Buying mineral makeup is quite a challenging task to carry out especially for the new users of this modern makeup trend because if you want to get the right mineral makeup for you, it entails sufficient familiarity with the product and all of its ingredients.

Compare Different Mineral Makeup Brands

Before buying a mineral makeup, compare first the different brands available. All of these brands may claim to be the best for your skin care needs but be sure to start your comparison with the ones that your dermatologist may have recommended or perhaps try those that offer a few days of makeup trials to assure if they have the right features in their mineral makeup to suit your skin care demands.

Check On The Company's Refund Policy

It is also important to consider the refund policy of the cosmetic company where you are planning to buy the mineral makeup. Some mineral makeups can cost you quite a considerable amount of money so there should be an assurance for you that once you are unsatisfied of the results that the mineral makeup did for you, you must be refunded of the same amount you paid for when you were still at the point expecting the high quality results that you will be getting out of using their product.

This scheme is also a good way to check out the mineral makeup's effect on your skin and when it does not serve its purpose, definitely, it is not the right one for you.

Evaluate The Ingredients

Check out the label and evaluate the ingredients of the mineral makeup. This is an important step that you should not forget to do. There are some mineral makeup, even those that are already clinically tested, proven and recommended by dermatologists that still contain ingredients suspected to cause skin irritations and other skin problems. Some of these include talc, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Bismuth Oxychloride, parabens and other ingredients that should be avoided to prevent getting your skin damaged.

Be Aware Of Your Skin Tone

You should also be well aware of the skin tone that you have. Like other conventional chemical-based makeup, mineral makeup also comes in a wide variety of tones from the lightest to the darkest. If you already chose a brand where you will buy your mineral makeup, choose the shade or color that will best match your skin tone. Shades that are very light or very dark when applied on the skin will tend to create a mask-like effect which makes it obvious that you are wearing a makeup. It defeats the purpose of mineral makeup where you should be looking like you are not wearing any makeup at all.

By the time you get to know these things, you are already equipped to get the mineral makeup that is best for you. The mineral makeup industry is already one that is continually growing in size and thus, you would not have a hard time finding the one that you are looking for since you are already provided with a lot of retail options for you to choose from.

Visit http://mineralmakeupfacts.com for more information about using mineral makeup to get a flawless finish and to buy mineral makeup products that are tried and tested.

AeroGarden

When I'd seen a commercial for AeroGarden I wanted one.

It uses Aeroponics (From AeroGarden.com "What is Aeroponics? Aeroponics is a dirt-free growing method where plant roots are suspended in air within a 100% humidity, highly-oxygenated growing chamber. Because the roots are bathed with ideal levels of nutrients, water and oxygen, plants grow significantly faster, are healthier and have a higher nutrient content than plants grown in soil.").

I like that you can use it grow anywhere because it has a "grow light". The base of the thing is about the size of a bread box, you just need to have room for the top piece with the light in it.

It is pretty expensive ($149 for the non-pro (block or white) and $169 for the Pro version, the pro version is stainless steel). If it was not so much I would have bought one already. The next time I have extra money this is what I will probably be buying.

After checking out the AeroGarden website I found out they have other types of "AeroGardens" and accessories for the original AeroGarden.

They have seed kits for herbs and flowers.

Downside: You have to buy the "grow pods/seed kits" from AeroGarden.com and they are not cheap (19.99 or so per pod set). I bet you could figure out how to make your own, it would save you a lot of $$. The other thing I do not like about having to buy seed kits is you have to live with what they put in the mix. They should allow buyers to custom mix their seed kits. I would have to buy three different kits to get the few herbs I like.

If you have an AeroGarden, let me know what you think about it. Has it saved you any money? Do the plants grow well?

Pawn Shops Are Online Now.

When I seen this website it was like a "I can't believe I haven't seen this before" moment. The idea is simple, you use domain names you own to get money ( either by pawning or selling).

DigiPawn Members can buy the domain names that people have pawned (and have not paid back the loan). At least that is what I read while signing up for an account, but I cannot find the "buy domain" section of the website (I could be wrong about buying domains, it makes sense that they would sell as well as buy.).

I have a few domain names, maybe I will pawn one just to see how it works. (if you have or are going to pawn a domain name on DigiPawn.com, let us know here!

From DigiPawn.com:
DigiPawn is an Internet pawnshop devoted to meeting the needs of customers who cannot obtain loans from traditional sources like banks.

The idea of a pawn shop for owners of intellectual property was developed by founder Rick Latona and is based on his vast experience as a pawn shop owner in Lakeland, Florida. In fact, DigiPawn is a licensed pawnshop existing under the laws of the state of Georgia.

"Ensure" is not just for old people

"Complete, Balance Nutrition"
"Nutrition to Help Stay Health, Active, And Energetic"
"lactose and Gluten free"
'An Excellent source of 24 essential vitamins and minerals"

Last week my father was sick, he could not keep anything down ( I won't go into detail, your welcome, lol). So to make sure he had enough calories and nutrition to survive until he got better I bought him some Ensure.

My dad asked for this brand since he has had it before and liked it. However, I had to guess at what flavor he wanted, I figured vanilla was a safe choice. The flavor I got was "Homemade Vanilla Shake". A pack of six 8oz bottles of ensures cost ten bucks, so they are a little over $1.50 a bottle. Which isn't that bad, but you don't buy one at a time you buy six and when it is something that people may be surviving on ten bucks a pop is a lot.

We had a few leftover after my dad got better so one day while doing yard work and I needed a pick up I decided to drink one. The flavor and texture was nice. I was not expecting a milkshake like texture, but I did like the thickness. It is a happy medium between milk and a milkshake. I can see why people like it. If it was not so much I would buy it more often just to have something around that I can quickly make when I feel I need some calories. I wonder if they have a power formula (one that you mix with water or milk). That would probably be cheaper if you plan on drinking them the way I do. (I cannot find a "powder formula" for ensure).

The bottle is great, if you cannot drink all of it (and if you did not throw away the cap) it is a perfect airtight container (this comes in handy when it is being used by a sick person). I could only drink half because it was so rich. However, after a few more minutes of yard work I was ready for the last half.

The one thing that I do not like is that Sugar is the second ingredient and on the "Nutrition Facts”, it has the sugar listed as 23g per serving which is one bottle. I like the amount of calories and protein (250 calories and 9g of protein), it is just right for snack or boost. However, what meal would 250 calories be replacing? LOL. Because of the sugar amount I doubt Ensure is used by dieters.

Health note (But, NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, always confirm information you read with a doctor or qualified source): ( I read in a "health advice" section of a magazine) If you drink any kind of protein shakes (or a drink like Ensure that is high in protein) everyday (or in large amounts) your groin area and pee may start to have an ammonia smell coming from it (crazy huh?). This is a normal by product of a body being feed a lot of protein. To get rid of it just stop in-taking the extra protein and it should go away, if not I would start to worry and go to a doctor.

Hillshire Farm Deli Select Ultra Thin Honey Roasted Turkey Breast

*Packaged in Glad Ware container

*99% fat free

I love turkey, and buying sliced turkey is the best way to have turkey available for when you want a sandwich. I have tried "flavored" turkey before but the standard flavor is smoked usually with hickory or mesquite. When I seen this Honey Roasted flavor I thought it sounded good.

This was the first time I have bought this brand of sliced sandwich meat. The main reason I did was because I had the "cheer" from Hillshire Farm's commercial stuck in my head (The cheer: "I say Hillshire, you say Farm" "Hillshire" "Farm" "Go Meat". I know it is silly but it stuck).

The slices were not super thin but I liked the thickness. I like the Glad Ware container is comes it. My one issue with that is, if they are going to give you such a big container (and charge that much) they should give you more turkey. There is a lot of wasted space in that container which leaves room for air and air is the enemy to freshness. I put the turkey in a sandwich baggie in side the container hoping that would keep it fresh however with the amount of turkey you get it was not around long enough to go bad.

The quality of the turkey was good, and that is saying a lot coming from me. Having grown up vegetarian, I am picking about the meat I eat. It is still somewhat nasty to me, so if it does not look, smell, feel (texture) right I will not eat it. There was not one piece of grit (or anything like that), you could visually inspect the slices and see that there was nothing in it. The color was nice (not too pink, I HATE pink sliced turkey). The edges were not tough but a different texture then the center of the slice.

The flavor was good and it makes a good sandwich, but not real honeyie though. I would like it to have more honey flavor.

I definitely want to try other Hillshire Farm products, now I wish I had signed up for the "Hillshire Farm HouseParty" (click here to read more about HouseParty).

Hershey's Cocoa Special Dark- for baking

“A Blend of Natural and Dutched Cocoas"

“Natural Source of Antioxidants"

“100% Cocoa"

There is nothing better then homemade brownies (the only thing better is when someone else makes them and has to deal with the mess, lol), and I make brownies from scratch quite often. This means I use a lot of baking cocoa; usually I buy the store brand or whatever is on sale. The main reason I do not buy the same brand over and over is because I have not found a cocoa I really like. My default brand just does the job so I am always on the hunt for a better one.

I have tried Hershey's regular baking cocoa and did not like it too much. However, this "special dark" was on sale and I have heard that dark chocolate is better for you so I thought why not give it a try.

I started out using it to make brownies (my recipe), and I learned that if you are using it in a recipe that is not on the container you will have to adjust the amount of sugar you use (you will need more). Because it is dark cocoa it is more bitter then regular baking cocoa. You might even want to use less cocoa then normal. My second batch of brownies (my recipe) came out much better.

The recipes on the container are good, especially the "Dark Chocolate Mousse".

On the container it says that "Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa provides fewer antioxidants than Hershey's Natural Unsweetened Cocoa". After reading that I kind of feel lied too, it is as if they put the word dark on it to get people like me (people that have heard dark chocolate is better for you) to buy it. In addition, if you do not like dark (or rich flavored chocolate) you should not switch to this kind of baking cocoa because you will just end up using more sugar, which is not good for you (or anyone eating the treats).

I like the shape of the container (rectangle with rounded edges instead of the usual circle), it makes for easy dispensing.

I am not sure if I like the Hershey's Special Dark enough to make it "my brand". However, I will keep it in the rotation.

Fight Excessive Sweating with CertainDri

AntiPerspirant

* Doctor Recommended

* Prescription Strength

"Fights excessive Perspiration" You have probably seen the commercial for this stuff.

This product was other one that my sisters insisted I try. She lived in AZ, and everyone sweats there, it is so hot. Especially those people that have a dress code at work, yeah most places have AC but when walking from, your car to the office/store you are out in the heat.

Warnings from bottle: Do not apply to: broken skin, on irritated skin, or immediately after bathing. Only use on underarms (where else would people be applying this that they need this warning on the bottle, lol).

Active Ingredients: Aluminum Chloride 12%

Inactive Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, water

I am not to hot about the active ingredient, if I remember correctly that is not good for people (info on Aluminum Chloride). Because of this, I do not use it very often.

Apply sparingly (just a few strokes under each arm) and only at bedtime.

It works; it can be a pain to apply the night before though. Do not try applying it after a shower you will regret it. If you did not do it the night before just use something else and try to remember to apply it that night.

If you do what I have warned you not too, the only way to stop the burning is to wash the stuff off and you really have to wash it (try not to scrub the area, let the soap do most of the work). Even after you wash it off your pits will be feeling it for a while.

Where to BUY!

Suave 24hour Protection Fresh Scent

Antiperspirant/Deodorant

Sticker says: More sweat Fighting ingredients Then "Secret"

At first I liked the Suave 24 hour Protection, but after using for a while I had issues with it. I like the scent, it is not bad. That is about the only good thing I can say .

My main problem with it is it stains my shirts. I have NEVER had any problems with "pit stians" but when using this I do. And, this has really mad eme mad, one of my favorite shirts got stians on it. In stead of throwing it out, I only use it when I wear sleeveless shirts. And, it is not "clear" as it claims to be. it leaves the skin with white stuff. This is not really a problem if you make sure that you do not get anywhere but in your pits.

I can say for sure that I will not be buying Suave 24Hour Protection anymore.

Update on HD Converter Box Coupons

A while back, I wrote a post about getting your coupons from the DTVAnswers.com for the converter boxes that you will need after Feb. 2009. I feel I have to warn people that you MUST use them before their expiration dates. They cannot be reissued (at least for now).

I have a big problem with this. First: anyone that bought one before July 2008 had to get an additional analog pass-through thing. My coupons were not expiring until the end of July (08), so I decided to wait. Side note: I would not have know about the "analog pass-through" if is wan not for the owner of my local Radio Shack. When I called ahead like say to he told me too wait until after July. I just barley seen a commercial saying the same thing.

Every time I called the stores that carried the converter boxes, they said they were out and the next shipment would be in next week. However, I got this song and dance the next week (I think the employees were keeping them for themselves or they were not getting enough, which leads me to my other problem).

If people cannot get the converter boxes at any local stores are they expected to get them online. Not everyone has access to the internet, not everyone wants to use his or her bank/credit cards online, etc... And the converter boxes are more expensive online. Topically $5-10 over what the brick-an-motor stores charge plus shipping. Therefore, the out of pocket cost goes from $10 (maybe less) to $20.

I do not remember seeing anything about the coupons "not be able to be reissued for any reason" on the DTVAnswers.com website when I got my coupons but that does not mean that it was not there.

However, Wal-Mart employees told my mother-in-law that they would reissue the coupons when she called Wal-Mart.

Either way, the coupons were not used why couldn’t they reissue them? I was rudely told by DTVAnswers.com customer service that "by Law WE CANNOT REISSUE THE COUPONS", I would like to know what law that is, and whom do I complain too.

I sent an email to the local TV stations, hopefully one of them will pick up the story. Sometimes it takes TV to get things done, lol. *I found a few forums/blogs that have a bunch of other people complaining about the same thing.

Why should we have to pay for something that the masses could live without and is being forced upon us. Issues like this are the reason the last attempt to convert to HD did not happen. Their is a website that allows people to make petitions, maybe I will make one to change that "law" I was told is the reason they cannot be reissued.

Please, if you have the same problem (unused "converter box coupon" due to local stores not having any in stock) leave a comment here. In addition, if you have the time leave comments on the other forums and send emails to your local TV stations.

And, save your "expired coupons" and any paperwork you have. That way if they do ever reissue them you will have proof they are not used!

Controlling Your Online Reputation

About The Company:
ReputationDefender was created in 2006 to defend your good name on the Internet. Today, ReputationDefender has grown to be the world's first comprehensive online reputation management and privacy company. We're the most experienced and most technologically innovative company of our kind. With customers in over 35 countries, ReputationDefender is proud to serve a global customer base throughout the world's largest community - the Internet.

Our goal is straightforward:

  • To SEARCH out all information about you and your family throughout the Internet and present it to you in a clear, easy-to-understand fashion
  • To provide DESTROY assistance, helping to remove, at your request, inaccurate, inappropriate, hurtful, and slanderous information about you and your family using our proprietary in-house methodology. This same mission extends to your personally identifiable information, like name, address, and phone number.
  • To deliver CONTROL over how others are able to perceive you on the Internet

When I first heard about this company, I was mad that I did not think of it sooner. I have not used ReputationDefender.com myself because I have enough time to do it myself.

They have a few different plans: the MyReputation- which is for you (and a spouse), the MyChild- which watched your child/teens activity online, the MyPrivacy- for your and your family's data. Take control on your private info. There are many sites that give away your info without your knowledge or permission, the MyEdge (beta)- is online PR. Control what results come up when your name is looked up online.

The MyChild plan is great for parents that are not real internet savvy but know that their kids could be hurting their future. Kids today do not think about what they are doing online (colleges, future employers, etc.. will do internet searches on your child). And, they do not want to hear about it either, so the MyChild plan is really the only way you can protect their future.

I think the government should offer this for free to parents (at least low-income parents).

I am not sure if they have any plans for businesses, which probably need this kind of service too.

If anyone has used (or still uses) ReputationDefender lets us know what you thought about it and if it really defended your reputation online.

Protect Yourself with Off Deep Woods Insect Repellent

Now that monsoon season has started (at least where I live), mosquitoes and West Nile Virus they carry. Aside from dumping things that hold rainwater after the rain is gone, (where mosquitoes breed) it is time to start wearing Insect Repellent.
The OFF brand was recommended on a TV show (I cannot remember which one, probably one of the morning shows). One of the main reasons it was recommended is because it has DEET.
I really do not have a problem with getting bit by mosquitoes, they do not like me. However, the people I live with are eaten alive. So, finding one that works is a necessity.
I got the “unscented” version thinking it would be somewhat unscented. I had delusion of it not having any scent at all but I did expect it to be subtle. However, it is strong. You will still be smelling it on yourself (or others if they put some on) for hours afterwards. The only thing that really gets the smell off you is a shower. In addition, if you spray it on your clothes (which you can do, it says so on the can) the smell will be coming from the hamper until you wash laundry.
The spray can works good, it delivers a nice coating of repellent. You only need to pass over each area (leg, arm, etc.), anymore and you would be using more then you need. The button is easy to work and because of the dip where the button is you will never not know which way it is pointing
(have you ever had something that you could not tell where the stuff would come out? Nothing sucks more and makes you feel stupid then spraying yourself in the eye).
Has far as repelling insects, it does the job. There have been no bits since we started using Off Deep Woods Insect Repellent. It is not used everyday, just when we think it is needed (after a good rain).
Like most things under pressure, you should not store them in a car or anywhere that gets hot but I have had one in a shed (through all the seasons) and it is fine, no explosions.
Read all directions; they have the basic cover-their-own-ass and common sense warnings, like do not get in your eyes and do not swallow, etc. They do mention not to keep it on longer then needed (so take a shower ASAP).

Hey SuckyStuff readers, have you used a “natural insect repellent”? Leave a comment or contact me and let me know what you used.

Style Your Hair with RotoStyler

I really hate blow-drying my hair, it is so thick that it can take hours to style it using blow-dryer and straighteners. The hardest part is holding (and using) a round brush in one hand and a blow-dryer in the other.

The RotoStyler is the solution for lump, thick, curly, and even frizzy hair with roto styler.
The RotoStyler rotates up to 100 times per minute easily straightening and shining even the most difficult hair. In no time at all your hair is transformed from limp to full, or from curly to straight. It’s great for any hair type! With Triple Action System:
1. Ionic Strips -To Reduce ‘Frizzies’ & ‘Fly Away’ Ends.
2. Infrared Strips - To Heat Hair From Inside Out.
3. Shining Strips - For Spectacular Shine.
(picture and description from asontv.com, I did not get the blow-dryer or the other accessory)

At the urging of my sister I bought a RotoStyler, It was only ten bucks so I figured I was not going to lose much money if I did not like it. Originally, it was around $19.99, when I bought it, it had been out for some time.
It can rotate both ways. I guess that makes it ambidextrous (can be used with both hands) and easier to use. If I remember correctly, this is the “second” model RotoStyler put out, and being able to rotate in both directions was one of the upgrades. It could be problematic for dyslexic people and people that get confused in the mirror, however after using it a few times you will get used to it.
Using this is almost as hard as using regular round brush, maybe harder. The size of it is the biggest problem. I can live with being stuck having to plug it in. Although the plug could be smaller, as it is you have to plug it in the bottom socket because of its size, so if your blow-dryer has a big plug (box shaped) you will have to use two different outlets. Which can be hard, how many bathrooms have you seen with two outlets.
The only thing that is good about its size is it can handle a good size chunk of hair, this comes in handy on thick hair.
The anti-tangle features works good. The anti-tangle feature works as follow; when it feels any resistant, it stops. This is an important feature (no matter what brand your rotating styling brush is) because you could really get your hair tangled in one of these things. I risked my own hair and tried to get it tangled, but it never did.
It worked better when my hair was around shoulder length (and shorter). When using on long hair it can attempt to get tangled more often. However, it is doable.
As it is now I do not use it very much, in fact as time goes on I use it less and less. Like I said at the beginning I only lost ten dollars on it so I am happy but I doubt I would buy it again or anything similar to it that does not have a blow-dryer built in (those are real expensive).
I have passed it on to my Mother-In-Law, I will let you know what she thinks of it!

Celestial Seasonings Black Cherry Tea

100% Natural Herbal Tea, Caffeine Free

I finally decided to try a new flavor of tea (because my regular flavor was out), and I love most of the black cherry flavored stuff I try. It is one of those “safe” flavors.
I like it but to get a good cup of tea you have to use two bags. Especially if you are using a bigger then average cup. In addition, doing this makes the box of tea bags go fast.
It has a nice flavor. I have enjoyed drinking it. If it is in stock next time I go to the store I will be buying another box of this along with my regular tea.

Musselman’s Fruit Sauce Lite Blueberry/Pomegranate with Splenda

From my post on the Blue Bunny Ice Cream Cones with Splenda, you know that I do not seek out food with Splenda. However I could not, not try this flavor (blue berry/pomegranate). I like both blue berries and pomegranate separately and the thought of them together got me interested.
I have tried other “fruit sauces”, as they call it but I say flavor applesauce, and I liked them. Therefore, I had high hopes for this one, and it did not disappoint. Although, I cannot say that everyone would like it. It is not very sweet; it has more of a pomegranate flavor with a blue berry bite.
The color is cool. Have you ever seen the home depot commercials where people bring in stuff for the paint mixers to match? I want to do that with this fruit sauce. Be warned though, that cool color comes with a price. If you drop some on light colored clothes/fabric it will leave a little red spot. Some times it comes out, some times it does not.
It is defiantly a nice change to regular applesauce. If you at all on the fence about trying a flavored applesauce, let me be the one to push you off of it, lol. Open your mind and try a new flavor occasionally.

Hefty Serve ‘n Store plates

16 plates to a package
10.25 in.

Interlocking ridges for storage, Microwavable.

I am a avid user of fine china (paper plates, lol), but they are not environmentally friendly. I had seen a commercial for these on TV when they first came out (that was a while ago). I did not think much about it at the time; however, they were on sale so I could not help myself.

I like that you can store uneaten food, this is a good feature for people that have kids or eyes that are bigger then their stomach (like me, lol). A downside to the design it that it is not airtight, so you cannot leave food in them for long (just a few hours, at the most overnight).
I like the way the plate is shaped, like a pie pan. It keeps liquid from liquidly food on the plate and not spilling over the edge. You know what I mean, those dishes that are not liquidly enough for bowl (like spaghetti, baked potatoes with butter, etc.). However since it is not airtight when you are storing liquidly food it can leak out if tipped enough.
The size is good but they could be stronger since they are intended to be reused. after regular closing and opening, over time the edges will get little rip. They give you a false sense of security, because they look thick and sturdy you think they will not bend. However, if overloaded on one side they will.
They hold up well in the microwave, I have not had one in there longer then four minutes at a time.
If you use metal utensils the plates get all dinged up, and it is worst when you use a metal utensils on the plate when it is still hot from the microwave. So use plastic or wait a minute to let it cool-down.
The way it gets dents really bothers me. I have heard that went plastic is dented or scratched it can leach its chemicals into food. As the plate’s dents, I just use them for lids, and never put them into the microwave.
The ridges around the edge of the plates (that make it close and hold together) make it hard to clean, especially if you use then for a messy dish. To keep this from being a problem, rinse the plates ASAP.
The cardboard thing they come in makes a good holder; it fits behind the regular plates in the cabinet perfectly (not all Hefty Serve ‘n Store Plates come with the cardboard thing).
I still have about half of the package now, and I probably did not need to throw away some of the ones I did (I did to be on the safe side). If I see them on sale again I will defiantly get another pack.

After looking on Hefty’s website, I have concluded that Hefty does not make these plates anymore. I could not find them in their list of products. You can still find them online (and possibly at stores), check out the link below (Google Product Search results for Hefty Serve-n-Store Plates)

Get Window Treatments at SmithandNoble.com

Not everyone has the money to spend big bucks on curtains/blinds for their windows. However, when you buy cheap you get cheap. I have purchased blinds from Kmart and other stores over the years but none of them lasted.
So while on the hunt for better quality blinds, I found Smith+Noble. (Request a Catalog)

Protecting Yourself from ID Theft

These days identity theft is a big problem, and most of us know someone that has been a victim (if not you). This has made way for a new kind of business. Identity Theft Prevention. Most of these companies do stuff you could do yourself (for free), however they bank on the fact that you would rather someone else do it.

LifeLock – If you watch TV at all, you have probably seen LifeLock’s commercial where the guy is standing there with a big sign that has his SSN on it. Their service is $10 a month, and they have a $1,000,000.00 service guarantee. The service guarantee takes effect when you enroll in LifeLock’s services.
The $1 Million dollars service guarantee is for if your ID gets stolen and misused, LifeLock will reimburse direct expenses you paid a professional to resolve any problems. I do not like the word “reimbursed”, that means you will have to pay whatever bills before that $1 Million dollars kicks in.
Read LifeLock’s Guarantee, Click Here!

From LifeLock.com:
“Last, but certainly not least: If your Identity is stolen while you are a member of LifeLock, we’re going to do whatever it takes to recover your good name. If you need lawyers, we’re going to hire the best we can find. If you need investigators, accountants, case managers, whatever, they’re yours. If you lose money as a result of the theft, we’re going to give it back to you.”
What They Do:
- ask the credit bureaus to set free fraud alerts on your behalf.
-re-instates fraud alerts every 90 days, unless told not too.
-submits requests for your name to be removed from pre-approved credit card and junk mail lists
-re-submitting name removal request as they expire
-Request your annual free credit report which is sent to you (everyone gets one free credit report a year).
-WalletLock™, takes the hassle of losing your wallet. If lost or stolen, a WalletLock™ specialist helps you contact credit card companies, banks, etc. to cancel and replace your cards and documents.
-eRecon™ watches known criminal sites for trading/selling stolen ID’s and informs you if yours is spotted.
-TrueAddress™ notifies you of new address associated with your name (helps prevent fraudulent address changes).
Kid plans are available for $2.50 a month.
—————————————————————————

IDWatchDog - “our 100% guarantee is simple. If you become a victim on our watch, we fix it. We will not stop until the damage in your personal records is restored to the way it was before you became a victim.”
Instead of monitoring credit reports like LifeLock, ID Watchdog monitors public records databases (such as: Social Security Administration, drivers or pilots licenses, auto, boat or plane registrations, criminal records, Homeland Security watch lists, address or name changes, bankruptcy, liens and other judgments or filings)
ID Watchdog is twice as expensive as LifeLock, 19.95 a month. However, you can try it on a “free trial” basis; you get 15 days free (The trial is not truly free, you have to pay a $1.95 from your bank account to verify who you are).

I am not comfortable with seeing “patent pending” on the site. It may mean nothing but I do not like it.
Statistics Page on IDWatchDog.com- If you want to read some stats on ID theft.
—————————————————————————
This site list more identity theft prevention companies, most I have never heard of. I have been thinking about signing up with one of these companies (not for me but a family member), but I cannot decide which one. I am leaning towards LifeLock, but they do not handle ID theft problems from before you sign up with them (I asked their customer service), however, ID Watchdog says they do (again, I asked customer service). And, that is the deal breaker, because I know someone has used my family members ID but if they will not cover it why bother.
I would like to hear from others that have used any ID theft Prevention service. Let us know if you were happy with it or not to waste the money!

“Simply White” Toothpaste from Colgate ( Spearmint Flavor)

“Whitening Toothpaste”
“Helps prevent cavities and with tartar control.”
First, Colgate should have made it clear on the packaging that there are two chambers of toothpaste (that mix together as you push it out). this type of tube is not the right kind for toothpaste like this. Heck, the kind that pumps it out does not really work either. If it was on the box, then my bad, however, I honestly cannot remember seeing it when I was taking it out (it came it a box as if that justifies the price, 3.99. Way to much for toothpaste).
The taste of it was nice. It taste just like it smells. The closes thing I can think to compare its flavor to is spearmint gum.
The blue stuff was not that great, in the foaming department. I was happy that it ran out before the white stuff. The white toothpaste was good . It foams up nicely without the blue half of this toothpaste.
As for its whitening affect I could not really see any difference. Maybe if I had used more then one tube, however I was not that impressed with it that I would go buy another tube.
I like that the tube it shaped so the dispenser is on the bottom. However the cap/dispenser sucks, I do not like that I cannot take the thing off. and its shape make squeezing out the last of it hard.
I do not plan on buying Simply White Toothpaste again!

Ozark Trail Men’s Bandy II High-Top Hiking Boots

boots

Features (yes, these boots have features):
Agion “nature’s antimicrobial”: Stops odor- Prevents Bacterial & Fungal growth- Continuous Release of Antimcrobial-Environmentally Friendly Technology
HydroGuard Waterproof: 100% waterproof membrane bootie-Seam sealed for maximum protection- High abrasion lining for maximum wear and comfort

Obviously, these Ozark Trail boots are not for me, since they for a man, lol. But I was the one that bought them. I like the way they look and feel. All of the features (listed above) were reasons I bought them too. Because the person that would be wearing them has a job that occasionally gets he feet (shoes) wet and he is on his feet a lot.
I did some “internet research” before buying these boots, I admit I did no price comparing because they were only 29.99. I mainly read reviews from people that bought them. I did not find any bad reviews so I was not reluctant to buy.
After bugging the hell out of the receiver of the boots (making him walk around in them, asking him after a full day of wearing them at work if he likes them, etc..), I believe I made a good buy.
To quote one of the reviews I read “they are just as comfortable as the $125 Boots I have bought”.
It has been about a month that they have been in use, and the insides still smell nice (really no smell, do be expecting a potpourri scent, lol). I say the boots make him taller, or at least look taller. And, it is not like the soles are thick (in case you men were worried it would like you were wearing man heels). The height of the ‘tops” of the boots (how far they go up the ankle) is something that the receiver really enjoys. They are high enough the support the ankle but not rub when you are squatting.
The boots are easily cleaned, just wipe with a wet rag.
I would recommend these Ozark Trail Hiker Boots to any man that needs boots (especially if you do not want to spend a lot of money). If they can hold up to everyday wear as they do, you know they will work for occasional wearing (like just for hiking, etc.).

Upgrading to Norton 360 Version 2.0

Key Features:
• Antivirus, Antispyware, Email scanning, Antiphishing, Rootkit detection, Identity protection
• Web site authentication, Network monitoring, Firewall protection, Automatic backup and restore
• 2 GB of secure online storage*, PC performance tuneups, Automatic updates, Embedded support
• Optional Antispam and Parental controls
My Norton’s Internet Security subscription was up last month and instead of just renewing, I decided to upgrade to the Norton’s 360.
The first thing I want to say about this product is Norton’s falsely advertised this product (has nothing to do with the program), on the website is shows (get screen shot of website) the CD with a box and stuff. However when I got mine it was just a cd. No manual or anything. And DHL did not deliver it to my door but my mail box (which gets ripped off a lot), I did not want it to go to that address but my Po Box but Norton’s would not send to a Po Box because it was being sent through DHL. I though it was going to be delivered to my door. That kind of pissed me off (I’ll get over it, I would be more mad if it got stolen).
Installing it was easy enough. However since I did not have a Manuel I had to figure it out on my own. Good thing I knew enough to uninstall the old version. I also learned that I had to uninstall my Window’s Defender (Just re-install it after you install the Norton’s).
Other then that it pretty much dose everything on its own. you just click “next” and “finished”.
Adjusting the settings is easy to do and understand.
I really like the “back-up” feature, I had never backed any of my stuff up before this (this can be skipped). Do not count on the “virtual” back-up from Norton’s, the 2.0 MB (make sure that is right) is not enough space to store “Bleep”. I do not have a lot of stuff on my computer (photos, files, etc..) and I was over the limit. Of course, you can buy more storage space (I did not even look at the prices for more space). Just get yourself some DVD CD’s that you can burn.

I have only had for a short time but so far so good, I do not regret getting it or anything like that. I will let you all know if something comes up.

Get Music from eMusic.com

Works with ipod, zune, and any MP3 player. no confusing restrictions or Drm..
Until I got my new computer a little over a year ago I had never downloaded any music. being bored with my own collect of music it seemed stupid not to take advantage of the downloadable music. I found emusic through my Windows Media Player. When I did this they had a free trial offer (25 free songs). I had to give my credit/debt card number, which is typical.
The site is easy to navigate and search for music. Downloading was easy and problem free (to my Windows Media Player). Their prices are decent (considering what is written next).
However I feel mislead, I thought there was songs like rehab, etc.. you new songs from but nope. Only independent artist and no-so famous singers. you can find karaoke versions of those songs but that is not was I wanted. The selection was so lame that I did not even get my 25 free songs. there just was not any songs other then the two I got that I wanted. And , they were karaoke versions of the songs I was after when I started my mission for music.

Yummy Vanilla Flavored Coffee

Again, this Vanilla Macadamia Nut coffee is from Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Co., these people should just hire me as their official reviewer, lol.

coffee

After that Irish Cream coffee, the Hawaiian Isles Co. really had to redeem itself to me, and it did. I loved this Vanilla Macadamia Nut coffee. Of course, I must confess I love Vanilla, however even though I love the stuff not all-vanilla flavored stuff it created equal.

The dry grounds do not really smell like vanilla alone, to be honest is smelled kind of like the Irish Cream flavor did, but that could of been some kind of subconscious flashback to the last bag because it taste like vanilla. In addition, when it is percolating it smells as it should so I know it is my problem, lol.
(even now I can smell the empty bag and all I can think of is that Irish Cream coffee, lol)

With only 10% Kona coffee and the rest Arabica beans, it is a semi-strong coffee. However, like the other flavors of coffee from this company the coffee’s strength depends on the coffee grounds to water ratio you use.

All I can say is if you like Vanilla the slightest bit you will enjoy this Vanilla Macadamia Nut Coffee.

Apple’s New 3G iPhone

Being released July 11(2008), the newest iPhone (3G) has been the talk of techies everywhere. You cannot watch Tv without hearing about it. It seems like just yesterday Apple,Inc. was releasing the original iPhone, however it has been a year this month (June).
With a starting price of $199 (with two year contract) this 3G iPhone is MUCH cheaper then the all ready released versions ($499 minimum price for the original iPhone) .
service plans (only through its exclusive US distributor, AT&T Inc) for the new iPhone will start as low as $39.95 a month for voice calling, the $59.95 plan (cost of “minimum” plan for original iPhone) provides 450 minutes of talk time, however it is not clear minutes you get with the $39.95 plan.
The 3G iPhone will be sold in more than 2,200 AT&T retail stores and kiosks, as well as through the direct business sales channels.New features include: faster operation, GPS (personal navigation device), easy search for names in the phone’s address book, and improved support for languages (like Japanese and Chinese).
These features may be new to the iPhone but they are available in many other phones already and many were upset with Apple for leaving them out of the original iPhone last year.
Freebie: The 2.0 software will run on existing iPhones and will be available for free download in early July.

Fix a Seam (or whatever) without a Needle Using Liquid Stitch

Made by Prym Consumer USA Inc. www.dritz.com
Available at most chain stores (like Wal-Mart), Liquid Stitch has the lure of being able to “stitch” something without needle and thread (hems, trims, crafts,etc.). I know how to sew and have a sewing machine, but getting the machine out and setting it up is a chore. Some people have a hard time threading a needle ( I don’t, yet). Regardless, this product comes in handy.

liquid stitch

It is machine washable & dryer safe (non-toxic and non-flammable). Dry cleaning not recommended.
Using Liquid Stitch is easy, just like any other glue. However, It doesn’t spread very well with your finger (or an object) from the initial area you apply it too. It does ooze when you fold material over and press together (as if you were doing a hem). Kids could master this product and be able use without major supervision (after you teach them how to use it!)
The tube says to do a “test spot” before using. This is important, on some materials you can see where is, either from discoloring (or dark spot) or it may not work. When that happens you end up with a mess. That is unless you realize that it is not going to work in time to wash it off. I found out that this does not work on lace or lace-like material (curtains) at all.
The 1 1/4 Fl. oz tube is a good size. You can get many projects done with one tube (of course that depends on the projects). Knowing how much to use for what types of fabric is something you learn as you go. A rule of thumb would be, for thin materials apply lightly and go heavier for heavier materials.
The caps have a tendency to crack when you tighten them to tight (usually when the tube has been open for a while). The nozzle can become clogged as well, to fix that just use a pin to clear the nozzle.
As for it being “Permanent”, it may stay on the fabric permanently but it does not hold permanently.
It lasts for a while (six months or so, depending on how often you wear and wash). Though when it does bust, you can just reapply and deal with it in another six months.
I would recommend having a tube of Liquid Stitch in the house ( I have carried it in my purse and every time I have used it), if not Liquid Stitch some other needles-sewing product.

Move over Super-Glue, Gorilla Glue is Taking Your Place!

“For the toughest jobs on planet earth™” (their slogan)
Now! Stronger-Faster
Bonds: Wood, Stone, Metal, Ceramics, Foam

To use, you wet the things/area you are going to glue with a paintbrush (make sure you do not want to use it for painting ever again, lol). The water helps activates the glue so do not skip that step if you were thinking about it. I forgot once and it did not foam up as it should of.
When I first used this Gorilla Glue I did not know it was going to foam up like it does. They should put that is bold letters on the label.
Do not try and wipe the glue with your bare finger, either wear gloves or have a stick, throw away towel, etc. This stuff will stay on your skin for a long time. It does not hurt or anything, it is just annoying. Also, notice the “throw away” part. This stuff does not come off cloth (that means your clothes too so be careful)
I took the time to peel back the back label and learned that if you squeeze out the excess air from the bottle before you close it, it will last longer (this means squeezing the bottle of glue until the glue almost comes out then putting one the cap while holding). Since air is bad for the glue’s longevity in the bottle.
Gorilla Glue has been fun to use. It is kind of like duct tape to me now, every time something needs to be glued I am going for the gorilla glue. Of course, I have found things that it is not suitable for (it works but not suitable), like leather/material.
I just bought a roll of the Gorilla Tape, so look for its review soon!
Check out their website to see all the other products they have and for projects plans/tips!

From GorillaGlue.com:
“Check out all the benefits of the new improved Gorilla Glue family:
• VERSATILE – ideal for most household fixes, building repairs and creative projects.
• 100% WATERPROOF – does not break down when exposed to outdoor elements. Easily passes ANSI/HPVA HP-1-2000 Types 1 and 2.
• TEMPERATURE RESISTANT – once it’s dry Gorilla Glue is unaffected by extreme heat or cold.
• SANDABLE, PAINTABLE, STAINABLE – the invisible glue line makes finishing easy.”

Bissell’s Little Green Machine 1400 series

I got this Bissell mini-shampooer when I bought my car; it was also because I was getting a puppy. It was on sale for 49.99. However, I have seen it sold for 69.99 or more.
The more expensive model has a built-in heater to keep the water warm and a TurboBrush head (similar to the rotating TurboBrush I bought for my vacuum.) The standard head is a “Stain Brush” that is just stationary bristles behind the slot you suck stuff up with. Which I think is bad place because you cannot really use it for scrubbing as well as you could if it were in front and detachable (or be at more of an angle).
I like the angle of the sprayer for water and cleaning solution. It comes out below “Stain Brush”. It could pump out more water per spray but it does an okay job as is.
I started with the inside of my car, shampooing both the carpets and seats. The only problem I had was with the divots and corners. It does okay it just takes some effort.
I had the same problem with the divots when using it on my couch/love-seat/chair (around the buttons). All-in-all it works good.
The scrubber on the wand could be better or be in a more useful place. The button you push to take off the thing on the hose could be easier too. I have pinched my finger on that thing many times.
The water tank holds a good amount of water. I only have to refill once (maybe twice) when cleaning my car. Any bigger and it would be too heavy. As it is now, I can toss it around with no problem. I hate having to ask someone bigger to get something down or move it for me (because I am small), and I know other smaller people hate it too. We like being able to do stuff without depending on a big person, lol.
The Dirty Water tank needs to be emptied quite often, there is a line (half full) on it that if you let the dirty water get higher than the machine doesn’t work as well ( I know this for a fact, I let it go over the line to see what happened and it stopped sucking).
I frequently have problems with the sprayer, it will not spray sometimes. I have no idea how I fix it but eventually it starts. I think the pressure had to build before it sprays, but sometimes it does right when I turn it on.
The suction could be better too, for all the noise this machine makes you’d think it would suck the spots off a Dalmatian, lol. However, it does not even seem to be as powerful as a normal vacuum.
The User’s Guide says you should run clean water through the machine before you put it away. This cleans any junk out of the inner workings of the machine. I will admit I hardly ever did this.
My Little Green Machine served me well for years but sadly, it has kicked the bucket. I did not clean it as well as I should have and I had used it when we had a flood inside (the house next to us burned down and my house was flooded with the water they used to put the house fire out) and it just couldn’t handle that nasty water.
The model I have is no longer being made by Bissell, now they have new model. It is pretty much the same as my machine just more “green”
